Alitalia’s airline seat numbers are written by PEN!
Last week I was working in central London and didn’t have time to post anything interesting on my blog. I came back on Saturday afternoon after experiencing a 1.5hr delay on an Airmalta flight to Malta. Unfortunately, Airmalta have started using Alitalia services in Heathrow which are renowned for delayed flights.
I was surprised that Alitalia’s ticketing system does not print seat numbers on the boarding cards. Unbelievingly, the check-in assistants had to write the seat numbers by pen on the boarding passes. This has caused many confusion since many people on the flight had same seat numbers J. You would only expect these things to happen on low-cost carriers!
Luckily enough I had my PSP loaded with top gear episodes which entertained me during this ordeal.
